Blue Sky Aviation was born out of the passion for flying by two friends, that settled in the majestic town of George, South Africa .

Both enthusiastic helicopter pilots, they envisaged a helicopter school between the foot of the Outenique Mountains and the beautiful coastal village of Haroldsbaai.

In August 2005 Werner Roux and FA Meiring bought their first helicopter, Robinson 44, and Blue Sky Aviation was started.

Five years later (August 2010) Ian Spence (Commercial Helicopter Pilot & Grade Two Instructor) bought the company and is currently the sole owner and director.
